Workspaces & invitations
Workspaces group people for billing and administration.
Roles
| Role | Can |
|---|---|
| Owner | Everything, including billing, roles, deleting the workspace and transferring ownership. |
| Admin | Invite and remove members, revoke invitations, change workspace policies. |
| Member | Use the workspace's limits; invite others only if the workspace allows it. |
Invitations
Invite by email. If email delivery is enabled, we send the link; otherwise copy the link and share it yourself. Invitations expire after 7 days and count towards the member limit while pending. The person must accept with an account using the invited email address.
Require two-factor authentication
On plans that include it, admins can require MFA. Members without MFA are blocked from signing in to chat until they enable it; existing chat sessions are not cut off immediately.
What workspaces don't do
Workspaces don't give admins access to members' messages. Chat rooms belong to their members, not to the workspace, and deleting a workspace doesn't delete any rooms.
